Brace Yourself for a Year
of Great Transitions:
Feng Shui energy shifts for 2007 should not be confused with
the Chinese New Year celebration arriving February 18, 2007.
Feng Shui is based on the Solar Calendar developed by
meteorologists who studied the cycles of Nature observing
how these cycles of the seasons changed. The
book of I-Ching states that the one thing we can always
count on is change!. That is why Feng Shui is known as
a "Nature science". The Chinese were very precise in
their observations and created a solar year of 365 days.
This beginning of the solar calendar which is used for Feng
Shui is exactly between the winter solstice and the spring
equinox. This is why it always falls on February 4 or
the 5th.
In the Chinese culture the Chinese New Year celebration is
based on the Lunar Calendar. It is a time of rituals
and celebration in China. It is know as a time for
celebration, clearing old energy, and cleaning the homes for
the new year, establishing an intention for the year ahead.
This is much like our New Years celebration. The
celebration begins two weeks before, similar to the holiday
celebrations of Christmas. Food and family gatherings
occur, and gifts are exchanged. This year in 2007 is
referred to as the Year of the Pig.
Back to the Feng Shui energy shifts occurring for 2007.
Brace yourself for a year of great transition.
This will be a year when change occurs. This energy
has been derived by thousands of years of observation.
It is part of the Form School, which incorporates the
formation of the land around a building, working with
visible and invisible energies, the seasons, and cycles of
nature. The Chinese "nature science" of Feng Shui is
based on a compass reading, mathematical calculations, 20
year cycles of energy, and the birth of the occupants of a
building to insure compatibility and success for the
occupants.
The traditional practice of Feng Shui does not use crystals,
mirrors, Foo dogs, or other objects. These Foo dogs are
believed to be second only to the dragon in protecting
temples. Often my clients have purchased these items
thinking they will be used in the "nature science" I
practice, only to learn that those objects are associated
with the cultural rituals, history, and superstitions, and
are not part of the Traditional Feng Shui "nature science".
This is a Kun, Yin, Earth energy visiting in 2007, and is
associated with nurturing. This will be a year having
the potential for greater compassion, and understanding.
The energy is also associated with separation and/or
sickness. Separation may show up if more troops are
deployed to Iraq and the potential is higher this year that
we may loose more people to war
and/or sickness. There is also the potential for
people to honor their own feelings and move in the direction
that brings them more joy, and a potential for "letting go" of
old beliefs of lack and limitation. There is a great
potential for many to realize their true power and spiritual
connection and seek to follow their heart. Allowing
themselves to be truly abundant in their relationships,
health, and career. There will be more opportunities
this year to "let go" of previous judgments that have kept
many from moving forward. Letting go of judgments and
focusing on peace is strong this year. It will be an easy year to
lose weight and/or stop smoking, because old habits can be
easily
released.
In 2007, many may choose to move from existing homes or
businesses, change jobs, change relationships, start a new
endeavor, travel, "let go" of old habits, choosing different
lifestyles. It may be a turbulent year with the
war in Iraq This is a Kun, Yin, Earth year which was
the same energy as seen in 1941 when World War II began for
the US. Japan surrendered in 1945 during a Kan, Yin,
Water year which is associated with negotiations, diplomacy,
wealth and fame, and is the energy coming in 2008 as well.
This Kun, energy of separation and letting go, was the same
energy in the Northeast in 2001 when 9/11 occurred, and the
2002 year following the attacks brought the energies of
wealth, and fame to the Northeast.
The Traditional Feng Shui nature science applies balance to
the energies of a building using colors, and the five
elements of nature: Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wood, and
furniture positioning, helping energy to flow easily.

The next change
in energy occurs
January 6,2007 through February 3,2007...
In the Center of all buildings this energy
has the strongest potential for all of the occupants in that
building because it is in the center or "heart" of the
building.. This period brings the potential to all
buildings for some whining and complaining this month. Add fire to reduce
complaining only if you have not be instructed to use metal in the
Northwest for 2006.
In the South you may enjoy
receiving unexpected money, good health, more visitors, and/or an increase in people
coming to your business, or home especially if this is a doorway used
often, place of entertaining. Sometimes this indicates additions
to family, since it is an expansion energy. Add fire to increase this great energy,
unless
you have been instructed to use metal in the south quadrant of your
building. The natural flow of good energy coming in the
South this month is evident with or without the fire.
In the Southwest enjoy power and authority
this month! If the Southwest is an area where you spend lots
of time, it will be an especially great this month for you. This energy
is great for business, calls are returned easily, if this is your office
or entrance to your business then it's even better! Share your feelings with your boss, spouse or friend
to gain support this month. Take
advantage of the power and authority in the Southwest this month. No remedy is
needed for the monthly energy.
In the West comes the energy having the
potential of wealth and fame.
Since this energy expands what it is with, increase your permanent energy remedies in
this area if you have had a permanent energy report done on your
building. Plus enjoy the
potential for wealth and fame coming to you this month especially if
this is an entrance, office, or where you sleep..
In the Northwest use 50
lbs of Metal and then avoid the use of fire in this area for this
month to maintain health and wealth. Use this energy this month
to "let go" of any activity, relationship, or possession that no longer
serves you. Holding on to energy that brings you little joy limits
your spiritual growth. This energy this month in the Northwest is about
"letting go" and supports those who are planning to move, change jobs,
or make transitions. This energy may also bring health challenges,
or over spending, so if this is a bedroom, office, or entrance take care
to focus on good health, get plenty of rest, and add the recommended
dose of metal!
In the North is money
for the month. No remedy needed other than what is required for
your personal building.
In
the Northeast the
energy for the month and the year magnifies what it is with. If
this is a bedroom or front door, increase the permanent energy remedy
already required for the Northeast.
In the East be sure to
have additional 50 lbs of metal here if this is your front door,
bedroom, office, or area where you spend a great deal of time.
This month enjoy a period of delays to relax and mediate.
Take advantage of the slower paced energy happening this month in this
area to help you become clear on your desires. Don't force things
to happen, have patience. Avoid all fire, water, or earth elements
in this area in January if possible. If not, then increase the
metal remedy,.
In the Southeast: is the
energy having the potential for creativity, love, travel, great
for academics, learning, creative writing, speaking. With this
energy you are sure to want to decorate your home.. You may also
find yourself making travel plans to visit people you have not seen in a
long time. If this is your kitchen, you may get creative and
spend hours cooking to heart's delight. No remedy is needed. If
you would like to increase this energy add water to this quadrant. If metal has been specified for your
specific buildings energy, then be sure to continue your
metal remedy.
