I was so moved when I heard
this portion of a speech Oprah gave to a graduating class in
June that I wanted to share it. I hope this brings you
comfort in this year of great change and transition....

This is a special article I received from a friend. I
thought it was very appropriate to share in this newsletter.
When you compare yourself to anyone, you have missed the
special uniqueness of who you are. Read and enjoy.

One day I decided to quit. I quit my job, my relationship,
my spirituality. I wanted to quit my life. I went to the
woods to have one last talk with God.
"God", I said. "Can you give me one good reason not to
quit?" His answer surprised me.
"Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the
bamboo?"
"Yes", I replied.
"When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very
good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water. The
fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant green
covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed.
But I did not quit on the bamboo.
In the second year the fern grew more vibrant and plentiful.
And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not
quit on the bamboo." He said.
"In the third year, there was still nothing from the bamboo
seed. But I would not quit. In the fourth year, again, there
was nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit." He
said.
"Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the
earth. Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and
insignificant. But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to
over 100 feet tall. It had spent the five years growing
roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed
to survive. I would not give any of my creations a challenge
it could not handle." He said to me.
"Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been
struggling, you have actually been growing roots. I would
not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on you.
"Don't compare yourself to others." He said.
"The bamboo had a different purpose than the fern, yet, they
both make the forest beautiful."
"Your time will come," God said to me. "You will rise high!"
"How high should I rise?" I asked.
"How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return.
"As high as it can?" I questioned.
"Yes." He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you
can."
I left the forest and brought back this story. These words
helped me see that God will never give up on me. Nor will He
give up on you.

The next change
in energy occurs
July 7, 2007 through August 7, 2007...
In the Center of all buildings for the
monthly period this energy has the
potential to bring power and authority to anyone in the
building. It is a great month to make decisions and
act on your ideas. The energy supports your decisions.
Remember to avoid beginning anything new, or signing
contracts until after July 9 when the mercury retrograde
ends.
In the Southeast is the visiting monthly energy
that increases the potential for greater money to come for
those occupying this quadrant during this period. No
remedy is needed other than what is required for your
personal building. Earth supports this energy
this month in the Northwest and can be used if you have not been
instructed to use metal here.
In the South is the energy having the
potential for separation, change, and transition. Place
50 lbs. of Metal in the South during this
monthly energy in addition to what ever your buildings metal requirement may be, and then avoid the use of fire
in this area to maintain
health and wealth.
Use this energy this month to "let go" of any activity,
relationship, or possession that no longer serves you. This will
have a
bigger impact on you if this is your bedroom, or entrance to the building.
Use this separation energy to move into the direction you have always been
dreaming.
It will support you in letting go of the old. Holding onto energy that brings
you little joy limits your
spiritual growth. If this is your bedroom, you may be
spending this month cleaning the closet, or letting go of an
unsupportive relationship, or you may find you and your
spouse do not see eye to eye this month!
In the Southwest the
energy for the month year magnifies what it is
with. If
this is a bedroom or front door, increase the permanent energy
remedy
already required for the Southwest specific to your building.
Since the yearly visiting energy in the Southwest is wealth
and good health, this yearly energy will have the potential
to be great this month and reach it peak. Enjoy this
great energy in the Southwest this month. Use this
area as much as possible this month, because the more time
you spend in this area, the better the expansion of wealth
and health!!!
In
the West is the energy having the potential for
creativity, love, travel, great for academics, learning,
creative writing, speaking. With this energy you are sure to
be inspired to decorate your home or do participate in some
creative activity, or even find a new love relationship this
period. You may also find yourself making travel plans for a
great get- away, or enjoy lots of small trips or even more
out of the office activity this month for realtors or people
who work in the field. No remedy is needed. If you would
like to increase this creative energy and the potential for
a new love relationship then add water to this quadrant. Or
place fire here to increase the potential for wealth. Avoid
water or fire if you have been instructed to use metal here
in the West in your building.
In the Northwest be sure to put 50 lbs of metal here if this is your front door,
bedroom, office, or area where you spend a great deal of time.
This month use this energy which has the potential of delays to relax and meditate.
Take advantage of the slower paced energy happening this month in this
area to help you become clear
on your desires. Don't force things
to happen, have patience. Avoid all fire, water, or earth elements
in this area during this energy period. If these elements are not possible
to avoid such as a kitchen cook top with the fire element, or a bathroom shower, then increase the metal remedy. With the
correct amount of metal it is possible to move forward with ease!
If you find you are running late or forgetting things, then
increase the amount of metal here in the Northwest,
especially if this is your front door!
In the North
the
energy for the month If this is a bedroom or front door, increase the permanent energy
remedy
already required for the North specific to your building.
This energy is also great for wealth and fame, so you may
receive a promotion or recognition this period, especially
if this is
an entrance to your home, or an important area
where you spend lots of time.
With the yearly energy and this monthly energy you may find
yourself spending more on clothes, or having a craving for
alcohol. If this occurs you may reduce the influence
by adding water to reduce this tendency.
In
the Northeast the energy this period is
whining and complaining. Fire helps reduce this energy.
Remember that fire is not recommended when your building's
energy requires metal in the Northeast.
In the East this energy
has the potential to expand the areas of wealth, good health, friends and
relationships. Outstanding energy!!! You
may enjoy receiving unexpected money, good
health, more visitors, for businesses more clients, and/or an increase in people
coming to your business,
or
home. Sometimes this indicates additions to the
family, since it is an expansion energy. Enjoy this
great energy this month! With the yearly energy you in
the east this great and prosperous energy is magnified!
Use fire to increase this energy unless you have been
instructed to use metal here in your specific building.
